Anne Guthrie

Anne, a native of California, traveled extensively throughout her life. Living in places as diverse as Hawaii and Switzerland she had always been intrigued by New Orleans. Maybe it was it's easy lifestyle or European influences or a combination of that and more.There was a pull that was unexplainable - a feeling many individuals experience about the magical city.  In December 1995 she finally decided to visit New Orleans and immediately fell in love.  It was a mere seven weeks later that she moved lock stock and barrel from suburban Los Angeles to the French Quarter.

In 2001 she met Marita, who had formerly lived in Los Angeles as well. The two almost immediately formed a very special friendship. Swapping stories of their lives in L.A. and their attraction and eventual moves to New Orleans.

In 2003 after being frustrated with her job as restarant manger, Anne joined forces with her friends Marita and Steve and became their first employee at Boutique du Vampyre.

Anne moved from New Orleans in 2014 to take care of her father in Virginia and then Nevada.  In 2017 after the death of her father, she knew that there was only one place that she wanted to be, back "home" in New Orleans.

Now coming full circle, again Anne has teamed up with Marita, and is handling Marita's book affairs, including book signings, readings, release events, research, etc.  Please feel free to contact Anne with any questions regarding events, etc.  annewgutherie@bellsouth.net
